Don Ahrens has joined SPG as Director of Business Development
Prior to serving in the US Navy, aboard the USS Duluth LPD-6, Don was a professional foosball player. He also studied at Scott College in Iowa.
Don and his wife Melanie reside in Davenport FL near SPG’s Orlando office.? Being so near Disney is also popular with the seven grandkids. Don enjoys fishing, competition bar-b-que (he is a certified BBQ judge with the Kansas City BBQ Society), and has two champion Jack Russell Terriers.
Don brings over thirty years of industry experience to the SPG team, as he has held both operation and sales positions with fabrication/machining & manufacturing companies in the Midwest and Southwest; and with geotechnical construction companies in the Mideast and Southeast.
Don brings a wealth of successful business development experience to SPG, especially with Heavy Industrial, Process, Food & Beverage, Aggregates, Power, Forest Products, and related industries.
