Southland Process Group, LLC (SPG) was built on the skills and the efforts of each employee and strives toward continuous development of a growing and prospering business. We invest in our people and attract, develop and retain talented professionals in roles where they can make an impact, as well as grow personally and professionally. SPG is an Equal Opportunity Employer and is committed to providing a safe work environment and to fostering the well-being and health of its employees.
Commitment to Safety
SPG is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for our employees and others. Our safety culture and philosophy are based on our total commitment to and investment in staff, policies and procedures, training, equipment, continuous evaluation of our performance, unsurpassed quality and job safety. We believe that accidents can be prevented through an aggressive and comprehensive program of:
- pre-job and pre-task planning
- orientation and continuous training of employees
- near-miss, hazard recognition and accident investigation
- alcohol and substance abuse prevention, and
- recognition of employee contributions to our Zero Accident Goal.
Safety is a joint effort between SPG and our clients. We work to create an atmosphere that nurtures proactive awareness. All employees are responsible for implementing SPG’s safety procedures, and all employees have the authority and responsibility to stop any work that is unsafe and to take corrective measures to ensure safety before resuming work.
SPG encourages employee feedback on all safety matters. Teams are assembled and are periodically rotated to ensure that all employees’ suggestions and concerns regarding safety receive attention.
Our superior safety record is proof of our commitment to a culture of safety on the job. SPG’s Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR) and Experience Modification Rate (EMR) have been significantly better than the industry average. SPG has maintained a zero-fatality rate since our founding in 1985. SPG is consistently recognized as one of the nation’s safest contractors.
SPG is a Drug Free Workplace and pre-employment drug screening is required for all new hires.
We have high expectations of our employees, and in turn, we reward them with dynamic work, competitive pay and benefits, and a challenging but supportive culture. We believe in employee development, allowing our employees to expand their skills and be promoted based on merit, not longevity.
SPG is dedicated to protecting our employees and others from injury or damage to their property. We embrace the value that all accidents are preventable and that injury is not an acceptable by-product of our work. We create an environment of participation among all employees that openly communicates the value of their role in establishing a safe workplace.
At SPG, you can count on working with fun, upbeat professionals who treat you with dignity and respect and are committed to your success.
We are committed to equality of opportunity and do not tolerate harassment or discrimination of any kind. We believe that equality among colleagues is expressed by recognizing and respecting each other’s beliefs, opinions and values. Work hard – play hard!
SPG is represented on LinkedIn and Facebook. We are constantly seeking to make our presence known and available to the industry and those that follow it.
