Industrial Electrical Foreman

We are seeking an experienced Industrial/Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead an electrical crew on industrial and commercial electrical projects. This position will be responsible for planning and directing daily work, coordinating manpower and materials, maintaining productivity, and ensuring installations are completed safely and according to project drawings, specifications, schedules, and applicable codes.

  • Job Duties

    • Lead electricians, apprentices, and assigned field personnel.

  • • Plan and coordinate daily work activities, crew assignments, manpower, materials, tools, and equipment.

  • • Review drawings, specifications, one-lines, schematics, and other project documents before starting work.

  • • Direct installation of conduit, cable tray, wire and cable, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, panels, motors, grounding, lighting, heat trace, and related systems.

  • • Coordinate field activities with the General Foreman, Superintendent, other trades, and site personnel.

  • • Track crew hours, installed quantities, productivity, material usage, and job progress.

  • • Identify field conflicts, additional scope, material shortages, and schedule concerns and report them promptly.

  • • Inspect completed work for compliance with the NEC, project specifications, and quality standards.

  • • Enforce company and site safety requirements and conduct pre-task planning and toolbox meetings.

  • • Assist with testing, commissioning, punch-list work, and project closeout.

  • • Maintain clear communication with supervision and crew members.

  • Qualifications

  • • Minimum 4 years of industrial or commercial electrical construction experience.

  • • Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, Lead Electrician, or similar field leadership position.

  • • Working knowledge of electrical construction methods, materials, and the NEC.

  • • Ability to read and understand electrical drawings, one-lines, schematics, and project specifications.

  • • Experience directing crews and planning electrical work.

  • • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

  • • Journeyman Electrician license and OSHA 30 certification are preferred.

  • • Ability to travel and work extended hours, weekends, shutdowns, or turnarounds when required.
