The McDonough project involved structural and mechanical scopes on two HRSGs and the steam turbine portion of a 2-on-1 combined-cycle configuration, including:

• Erection of 700 tons of steel:

  • Air intake filter house steel for both gas turbine units

  • Platform and access steel for HRSGs, Centerline, and steam turbine areas

• Assembling:

  • High-energy piping from HRSGs to steam turbine

  • Installation of over 53,000 LF of piping for the HRSGs, generator, and steam turbine systems

• Centerline Installations:

  • (2) MHI 501G combustion turbines with steam cooling systems

  • (1) Toshiba 450 MW steam turbine (Unit 6)

• Additional Work:

  • Installed four Nooter HRSGs (module and casing erection only) on Units 4 and 5.
