The McDonough project involved structural and mechanical scopes on two HRSGs and the steam turbine portion of a 2-on-1 combined-cycle configuration including:
Erection of 700 tons of steel:
Air intake filter house steel for both gas turbine units
Platform and access steel for HRSGs, Centerline, and steam turbine areas
Assembling:
High-energy piping from HRSGs to steam turbine
Installation of over 53,000 LF of piping for the HRSGs, generator, and steam turbine systems
Centerline Installations:
(2) MHI 501G combustion turbines with steam cooling systems
(1) Toshiba 450 MW steam turbine (Unit 6)
Additional Work:
Installed four Nooter HRSGs (module and casing erection only) on Units 4 and 5.
